| Gilson and Gregory get their Wish |
|
LOS ANGELES—The writing team of Anna Gilson and Michael Steven Gregory have optioned their romantic comedy Wish to Pendle
View LLC for an undisclosed amount. The story is about a down and out dealmaker desperate for a
second chance, who is forced by a bitter genie to fulfill the wishes of three strangers, but falls in love with the
one whose wish he can only grant by forfeiting his own.
The deal marks the second for the G&G partnership, and the third for Gregory alone in as many months. In September,
the team's ensemble drama Armageddon Jones sold to indie startup Mnemosyne Pictures on pitch (with Gregory
slated to direct), and Gregory's 'Long Came Charlie was picked up by actor Dustin Hoffman's Punch Productions
(Tootsie, Mad City, Wag the Dog, The Devil's Arithmetic,
Walk on the Moon) in October.
Established in October 2001, Pendle View is headed by former Blue Rider Pictures' Director of Development &
Production Craig Nicholls. During his tenure at Blue Rider Mr. Nicholls developed and delivered fifteen features
and a documentary, working with partners such as Walden Media, Dimension Films, Artisan Entertainment, Showtime
Networks, Trimark Pictures, the Fox Family Channel, et al.
He has worked with the following actors: Robin
Williams, Minnie Driver, James Spader, Josh Brolin, Jennifer Tilly, Daryl Hannah, Bruce Greenwood, Ian Holm, Rodney
Dangerfield, Michael Biehn, Roy Scheider, Christopher Plummer, Stuart Wilson, Margot Kidder, Vincent Gallo, David
Warner, Mickey Rourke, et al. In addition to productions in the U.S., Mr. Nicholls has served in a production
executive or producer capacity on projects throughout Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany.
