. Rock, Paper, Peace INTRODUCTION Updated January 3, 2004
On June 23rd, 2003, The American Academy of Arts (A3) and Random Cove debuted its Indie
Filmmaker's Bootcamp at Alliant International University, in San Diego,
CA.. The program, geared to provide aspiring filmmakers real-world education
by working with professional filmmakers to make a short movie — from concept through
execution — is the collective brainchild of A3 founder Stan Foster, digital media specialist
Ross Kallen and writer-director Michael Steven Gregory.
Led by 12 accomplished filmmakers nearly 70 students participated in the program, which concluded
July 3rd. 25 participants were selected to
work professionally on Mnemosyne Pictures' feature-length ensemble drama Armageddon Jones.
